DASH is a dietary recommendation of US national Heart, Lung and Blood institute to control blood pressure and prevent hypertension.
The DASH diet is rich in fruits, vegetables and grains and low-fat dairy products.
According to some studies, The DASH diet reduces systolic blood pressure by 6 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by 3 mm Hg in patients with high normal blood pressure.
